MolecuLight exhibited at the 2016 WOCN Society & CAET Joint Conference

MolecuLight proudly exhibited for the first time at the 2016 WOCN Society & CAET Joint Conference in Montreal, Quebec

The event was organized by The Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nurses SocietyTM (WOCN®) – recognized worldwide for the promotion of safe and effective wound, ostomy and continence (WOC) care – and The Canadian Association for Enterostomal Therapy (CAET) – a not-for-profit association specializing in the nursing care of patients with challenges in wound, ostomy and continence.

The Conference took place at Palais des Congrès de Montréal on June 4-8 2016 and had over 1200 attendees and 140 Exhibitors.

The Conference goals were:

  1. Create awareness of the socioeconomic and global issues influencing the patient, family and care provider(s) across the healthcare continuum.
  2. Empower the leadership role of the WOC/ET nurse through education, advocacy, research, marketing and legislation.
  3. Provide research and evidence-based knowledge of the latest techniques, applications, technologies and treatments related to wound, ostomy and continence issues.
  4. Promote networking with colleagues to establish a more integrated community of health care providers caring for patients with wound, ostomy and continence issues.
There were a total of 102 sessions that highlighted the importance of reaching beyond the constraints of day-to-day clinical practice to achieve optimal outcomes for patients. Speakers presented groundbreaking and impactful research relevant across the continuum of care.

MolecuLight Inc. was delighted to see a breakfast presentation titled ‘Managing Exudate, Infection and Biofilm – Mission Possible’ presented by Philip Bowler, MPhil, BSc, FIBMS, Stephen Landis, MD, FRCP(C) and Kevin Woo, PhD, RN, FAPWCA. The topic on ‘Wound Infection at the bedside: Dressing and Debridement’ was discussed in detail.

What a great event!
